Lindsay Lohan is officially a cool mom.
The Mean Girls star has given birth to her first baby with husband Bader Shammas, her rep tells E! News. The pair welcomed a baby boy named Luai in Dubai, where they live.
The rep added, “The family is over the moon in love.”
Lindsay—who married the financier last year—announced in March that she was expecting, posting a photo of a fetch baby onesie and writing, “We are blessed and excited!” The 36-year-old added in a statement to TMZ, “We are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives!”
And her family was certainly ready for the new addition as well, with her mom Dina Lohan reflecting on the little one’s perfect timing.
“She’s been trying and then it happened, that little stick came up positive,” Dina told People in a March interview. “It’s the right time for her and Bader is an angel. Her husband is so sweet and they’re just so happy. They’re just really happy and ready.”
Lindsay and Bader later celebrated the pregnancy by traveling to New York for a baby shower on April 16 that was attended by friends and family, including Lindsay’s mom Dina and sister Aliana Lohan. The Parent Trap star shared a photo of herself in a bright orange outfit at the party, captioning the sweet moment, “Take the time to smile.”

Fans were smiling a week later when she debuted her baby bump on her Instagram Story, dropping a glowing pic of herself in a green and white knit dress at the Edition hotel in New York.
Lindsay’s happily ever after began in November 2021, when the couple got engaged after three years of dating. At the time, she shared a photo of her stunning ring and wrote, “My love. My life. My family. My future.”
Just eight months later, Lindsay revealed she and Bader had gotten married.
“You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time,” the Freaky Friday actress gushed in a July 2022 Instagram post, which came as she was preparing for her Hollywood return in the Netflix movie Falling for Christmas. “I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything, every woman should feel like this everyday.”
“There’s no question,” that Freaky Friday 2 will happen with Lindsay Lohan, Curtis tells EW, but adds that “stories require writers.”
Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan won’t switch bodies in Disney’s Freaky Friday sequel until studios switch up their payment methods to end the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, according to the Oscar-winning actress.
“Oh, it’ll happen. For sure. Oh, for sure. There’s no question,” Curtis tells EW of the long-awaited Freaky Friday 2 in an interview for her upcoming movie Haunted Mansion, which is based on the beloved Disney parks attractions at resorts around the world.
When asked if she has an idea for where fans might see mother-daughter duo Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) Coleman’s story pick up over two decades after they first swapped bodies in the 2003 comedy hit, the Everything Everywhere All at One star cited the strike as an obstacle in the project’s progression.
“Yes, except stories require writers, and right now there are no writers because they’re all fighting for their lives, for their creative lives, for their emotional lives, and for their financial lives,” she explains. “We’re in the middle of a contract dispute. And so, until those writers get paid correctly and protected by the producers that make billions off of them, we will not be able to tell you any more about the Freaky Friday sequel, except that it is happening.”
Curtis told the New York Times in May that her 2022 press tour for Halloween Ends inspired her to explore making a continuation of Freaky Friday with Lohan. “As I went around the world with Halloween Ends, people wanted to know if there was going to be another Freaky Friday,” she said. “Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made.'”
Representatives at Disney did not respond to EW’s request for comment. Curtis’ fellow Haunted Mansion star, Tiffany Haddish, also tells EW that work on a highly anticipated Girls Trip sequel has also hit a roadblock amid the strike. “That kind of puts a damper on things,” she explains. “I don’t know.”
The pair appears as a comedic duo in Haunted Mansion, with Curtis portraying Madame Leota, the iconic crystal ball-dwelling medium from the titular ride, while Haddish plays a New Orleans psychic enlisted alongside an inventor (LaKeith Stanfield) working on a camera lens that can see spirits and several other paranormal experts (Danny DeVito, Owen Wilson) to help a young boy (Chase W. Dillon) and his single mother (Rosario Dawson) rid their new home of 999 ghosts — including Jared Leto’s menacing Hat Box Ghost.
Curtis and Haddish can be seen together in Justin Simien’s Haunted Mansion when it opens in theaters on July 28.
Lindsay Lohan is ringing in another year around the sun!
The actress, who is pregnant and currently expecting her first baby with husband Bader Shammas, celebrated her 37th birthday on Sunday with a selfie shared on Instagram.
Donning a white T-shirt, Lindsay wore her hair down and showed off her natural beauty in the photo, as she made a kissy face at the camera while leaning her head to the side.
“Thank you so much for all of the wonderful Birthday Wishes! 🙏🎂🥰☺️💖💕feeling blessed! ✨✨✨,” she captioned the post.
Lindsay shared the same selfie on her Instagram Story, writing, “Thank you for all of the beautiful Birthday Wishes 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖💖.”
Lindsay’s younger brother Dakota Lohan also paid tribute to his sister on her birthday with a photo of them twinning in all-black at Saint Laurent’s show for Paris Fashion Week in 2018.
“Love you beyond words. Happy birthday and I’ll see you in 2 weeks @lindsaylohan ❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote below the photo on his Instagram Story.
Dakota, 27, also commented on his sibling’s Instagram post, writing, “Maaaa best friend. Love you ❤️❤️❤️.”
Several others wished the Parent Trap star a happy birthday in the comments section of her post, including her former costars.
Daniel Franzese — who starred in Mean Girls with Lindsay — wrote, “Happy Birthday Pretty mama! ❤️.”
Chord Overstreet commented on the post, “Happy bday Linz!!! Sending lots of love y’all’s way!! ❤️.” The Glee alum played Lindsay’s romantic interest in Netflix’s 2022 holiday movie Falling for Christmas.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, meanwhile, also wrote in the comments, “Happy birthday!!! 🎂🎁 💝.”
This year, the actress has much to celebrate, as she is currently expecting her first baby with her husband.
A source close to Lindsay told PEOPLE she is “very excited for this next chapter in her life” as she gets closer to welcoming her first child.
“Motherhood has always been something that was in the cards for her, but it was a matter of when the time was right and she was ready,” added the insider.
The star’s mother, Dina Lohan, also shared her excitement for what’s ahead, telling PEOPLE, “I’m so proud of Lindsay.”
“She is super excited to be a mom and we speak several times a day about every little beautiful thing she feels as the baby grows — sending me daily pictures and monthly/weekly check-ups,” she continued.
“Her siblings and I are so excited to share this miracle together,” added Dina, 60. “Bader and his family are so wonderful and we are blessed to all have such admiration for this blessing of joy to soon arrive.”
Lindsay Lohan’s first little bundle of joy is almost here, and the actress will in fact be havin’ a boy … TMZ has learned.
Sources with direct knowledge tell us Lindsay and her husband, Bader Shammas, are expecting the little dude, and pretty soon — we’re told she’s very close to giving birth.
As we first reported, Lindsay’s mother, Dina, will actually be by her side in Dubai for the birth … and some of Lindsay’s siblings will also be overseas around the same time as the birth to meet their new nephew.
Remember, the “Freaky Friday” star made the expecting announcement back in March … with a swarm of support from fans and friends online. Lindsay and Bader spent some time with her family in April — marking the first time she had been with her mom and other members of her fam all together in at least 7 years.
As for the happy couple, they got married last year after sparking a romance just before the pandemic … and now the 2 have something very exciting to look forward to very soon.
We’ve reached out to Lindsay’s family, but there was no comment.
Lindsay Lohan has red hair, and freckles everywhere, including on her irises, where they collect like sunspots on a molten green background. The ones on her face, though, are disappearing by the second: Her makeup artist, the freckle-less Kristofer Buckle, is applying liquid foundation to her cheeks. Lohan’s mother sits a few inches away, offering an occasional anecdote from The Real Housewives or a makeup tip, like maybe add a little highlighter along the jawline, make the chin really pop?
In brief, Lohan is a 36-year-old actor who has been working for the vast majority of her life. In truth, that does not even begin to describe her. Beholding Lindsay Lohan inspires a range of reactions that may depend on the beholder’s birth year. To broad swathes of the millennial population, who met an 11-year-old Lohan in Nancy Meyers’s The Parent Trap and watched her in subsequent Disney vehicles, she is a childhood best friend who lives behind a screen. We may have lost touch, but we are always happy to see her. To those who worship the media sensations of the 2000s, she is more like a deity, one-third of a kind of unholy trinity with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears.
And maybe that’s why, to generations who were more attuned to Lohan’s tabloid lore than they were to her onscreen performances, she inspires less than reverence. They will never understand: That’s our girl. Always has been, forever will be.
It may please every age demographic to know that by all accounts, including her own, Lindsay Lohan is the happiest she has ever been. And at some point in the near future, that happiness is scheduled to be eclipsed by an even more profound happiness: Lindsay Lohan is pregnant.
She bounces around the set of this photo shoot, littering the studio with smiles. The sunlight pouring across the studio floor threatens a comparison to Lohan’s own radiance. Lohan was surprised and delighted to disembark in New York with a fresh baby bump. “I popped!” she says. “She popped!” Everybody keeps saying so. And it is true: Even swaddled in a white robe, the bump has presence.
It will be a short stay in New York, but not as short as it could have been. Lohan has been filming for a secret (to me) project, plus this cover shoot, and then planned to skip town. Instead, though, she tacks on an extra weekend to spend time with her family. The Lohans are New Yorkers. There is dinner at The Waverly Inn one night, and a baby shower the next morning, attended by family and friends. Tracey Cunningham, the colorist, is there — Lohan is a natural redhead, but Cunningham has been toning and shading, occasionally blackening and bleaching, the star’s hair for well over a decade.
Twenty years later, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are in talks to reunite for a sequel to the hit body-swap comedy “Freaky Friday.”
The sequel is in the works at Disney, with Lohan and Curtis expected to reprise their roles as mother-daughter duo Anna and Tess Coleman. Elyse Hollander, whose work has been featured on the Black List, is penning the script.
Based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name, the story was adapted for the screen twice before the 2003 film — in 1976 starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster, and in 1995 with Shelley Long and Gaby Hoffman. But the Lohan-Curtis version found the most success, scoring over $160 million at the box office.
Rumors started circulating about a potential sequel in February, when Curtis posted a photo of her and Lohan on Instagram with the caption, “It’s Friday. I’m just sayin! Freaky fingers crossed!”
“It’s going to happen,” Curtis elaborated in an interview with Variety at the Producers Guild Awards on Feb. 26. “Without saying there’s anything officially happening, I’m looking at you in this moment and saying, ‘Of course it’s going to happen.’ It’s going to happen.”
The news was revealed in a New York Times interview with Lohan and Curtis celebrating the 20th anniversary of the 2003 film, directed by Mark Waters, which follows a mom and daughter who wake up one Friday morning to find they’ve swapped bodies.
“As I went around the world with ‘Halloween Ends,’ people wanted to know if there was going to be another ‘Freaky Friday,’” Curtis told the New York Times. “Something really touched a chord. When I came back, I called my friends at Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made.’”
Lohan added, “Jamie and I are both open to that, so we’re leaving it in the hands that be. We would only make something that people would absolutely adore.”
